Vicodin Addiction

Vicodin is a perscription drug that is commonly perscribed to people to act as a pain killer. Many currently illegal drugs were once commonly used in the field of medicine at one point in time. Vicodin is an opiate derivative, and has similiar effects to many other opiate derivatives. Vicodin produces an euphoric feeling, relaxing both the physical bodym and the mind, as well as relieving pain. The drug vicodin is made up of two main parts, one being Hydrocodone (related to codeine) and the other, Acetaminophen. Hydrocodone is a highly addictive pain killer and can create a physical and pyscological dependance upon it. Acetaminophen is a less potent pain reliever, but it can enhance the effects of the Hydrocodone. These pain killers, together to create Vicodin which is used to relieve moderate to severe pain. Vicodin may also be used for other medical purposes, instructed by a doctor.
During the initial phase of Vicodin addiction treatment, the subject will undergo a detoxification process, to cleanse the physical body of the drug and make the person ready for further treatment. Vicodin detox is similar in nature to many other forms of drug detox, specifically other opiate derivatives. A good Vicodin detox plan consists of a proper vitamin intake, a well balanced diet, exercise, a healthy mindset, and most importantly, dedication. One might also consider adding sauna or sweat therapy. Sweat therapy can help 'bleed' out those unwanted toxins.Certain foods can also help a Vicodin detox plan Mangosteen for example, is a rare fruit which provides excellent detox value, and taste's great to boot. There are many detoxification drinks on the market, however I recommend Zambrosa for its overall value and benefits.
Vicodin addiction is not uncommon, in fact it affects the lives of many Americans each year. Since the drug derives from opiates, it can produce a similar type of addiction, that is extremely hard to break. Although Vicodin addiction is hard to overcome, it is not impossible, with the right treatment and support, any addiction can be beat. Seeking drug abuse treatment is the best course of action for anyone who has a problem with drugs or alcohol.
